There are many versions of this story, but rumor has it, that everything started with a nobleman by the name of Lord Somersby. As the father of many great discoveries, Lord Somersby became known for his legendary thirst for adventure, and cider for that matter. Perhaps his most famous discovery of all is Somersby Cider – once known as the favourite drink among celebrities such as Napoleon, Cleopatra and Newton.
Or at least that’s what we’ve heard.
Today, the fruit of Lord Somersby’s labour is enjoyed in 43 countries around the world, and out of respect for his legacy – Somersby Cider remains free of artificial sweeteners, colours and flavours. At its core, Somersby is a refreshingly crisp cider, best enjoyed over ice and in the company of great friends, but it’s much more than that. It is a symbol of open-mindedness and a reminder that anything is possible with a sunny attitude and a little imagination.
